Of Mountains and Grilled Pimiento Cheese Sandwiches

From Paul Levine...in the mountains

We're having grilled pimiento cheese sandwiches and fried green tomatoes at the Early Girl Eatery and crab cakes and steaks at the Grove Park Inn (pictured) in Asheville, N.C.
They say Calvin Coolidge and Barack Obama have bunked here, but I didn't see either one last night.
We (Paul, Marcia and mutt Nikki) are not staying in such tony surroundings.  Rather we have rented a cabin on a dirt road on 45 acres of woods a few minutes out of town.  We have a creek running by the cabin and bears strolling through the woods.

We've been hiking trails along the Blue Ridge Parkway.  Marcia and Nikki are great hikers.  I am not.  If golf is "a good walk spoiled," then a hike is a good nap spoiled.

We'll be here several weeks.  More adventures in eating and hiking.
